- Does it really work?
Of course, it works. But if you still have doubts you can perform several tests to your own email or if you prefer you can even fake your death so that a post-mortem message is sent to an alternative email (e.g. your second email box). This way you will be certain the email from death service works and you can login back to our web site which will reset your counter, and then configure your real post-mortem messages.
- What if I don’t like the messages I created anymore? Can I update them?
You can modify your messages content and recipients at any time. As long as you keep responding to our reminders according to your schedule no post-mortem messages will be released.
- Will you read my messages?
Short answer: NO
Our personnel will never read your emails unless there is a very valid reason to do so (e.g. abuse with our service agreement or a court order due to law pursuit).
- What if I go on a vacation to Sahara and can’t access my emails?
We have provisioned for situations where you will be long term away from your email for whatever reason. You can stipulate a vacation period in your profile and during this period no are you alive reminders will occur and your counter will freeze at zero. Once your vacation period is over the reminders and counter will resume as scheduled.
- I still don’t get it. How do you know I’m dead?
Once you register you can set your schedule for are you alive reminders to your email (you can choose number of reminder and time distance between them). As long as you respond to the reminders we will consider you alive. If you fail to respond to a reminder EmailFromDeath.com will go into worry mode and will send you several final reminders for your attention.
If you fail to respond to all configured reminders and worry prompts then and only then we will release the messages to your designated recipients.
